“A seed can be planted in the right soil and flourish, or it can be planted in the wrong soil and wither down to nothing – that’s the importance of making sure you put yourself in a positive environment”
This week’s guest is Mac Attram, whose entrepreneurial journey reminds me a lot of my own – he was working 90-hour weeks trying to keep a business afloat and realised that things had to change. He met with T Harv Eker, author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, and scrupulously applied the lessons he learned from him. Within 18 months he had gone from being massively in debt and constantly under stress to completely changing his mindset and being financially free. Now he teaches others to understand the same money and business principles he has used, and helps them increase their revenue by up to 200% in just a few short months.
In the podcast, Mac and I talk about:
- The importance of doing something you’re passionate about, rather than simply trying to pick the most lucrative path.
- The need to extract yourself from negative situations and find positive, supportive people to associate with.
- Mac’s book, The Inspired Warrior Code, and the seven key aspects of inspiration and courage that it focuses on.
- And, in a first for this podcast, we have a great little chat about how to raise your kids to have the mindset to succeed in life and how to fill in the gaps in their education that traditional schooling can leave.
Mac’s learned a lot of lessons throughout his years as an entrepreneur and martial artist, even if he does look 20 years younger than he is (though he doesn’t tell us the secret of that last part in the podcast I’m afraid!). In this week’s Hardcore MBA, he teaches us a few of them, and I think it’s a great listen that will help you move forward in your own life and business. When you’re finished, don’t forget to check out Mac’s personal website, and his Mind Space site.
As Tony Robbins once said, success without fulfilment is the ultimate failure. Mac has found his fulfilment, but what are you doing to find your passion in life? Tell us in the comments!
